In this project the students have experienced a way of expressing feelings and thougths like humans did during Prehistory. They have learned how to create painting from natural pigments as ochre and carbons, crushing them with stones and mixing the pigments with oil and water.
They have created all kinds of paintings from the past, like naturalistic paintings (Paleolithic period) and schematic paintings (Neolithic period), both representing animals and hunting scenes. They have also represented their own hands with positive and negative marks using different techniques like humans did in the past.
With this project our students have experienced for themselves why and how was the beginning of art in the history of human beings.
