THE BRITISH CEMETERY

 

Last tuesday and thursday, 8th and 10th november, we visited the British Cemetery placed in the neighbourhood of Carabanchel. Irena, the tourist guide, explained why it was built and the history of the people buried there. She explained interesting anecdotes of those times and the specific English written on the graves. An important place for British people who came to make money in the XIX century.
